Bio

Natalia Villanueva García graduated summa cum laude with a Master of Arts, Major in Media Composition from the University of Music & Performing Arts, Vienna, where she is currently enrolled in the PhD program. She is the founder of the Max Steiner Orchestra and author of Die Relevanz der Instrumentation, published by AV Akademikerverlag in 2012. Natalia’s work has been honored with the Appreciation Prize “Würdigungspreis 2012 MDW” for extraordinary artistic achievements by a graduate, as well as the 2011 RFM Classic Honorable Mention for “Original, aesthetic style, depth and unique presentations of emotion in music”. She was nominated for the Transatlantyk Young Composer Award (2011) and the Roche Continents Workshop for Outstanding Young Talents (2012). She was the 2008 recipient of the Viktor-Bunzl Scholarship.
